Pre-Requisites
Before running Macboat, make sure your system meets the requirements below.
Hardware Requirements
- RAM: At least 8 GB of RAM (16 GB Recommended)
- CPU: At least 4 CPU threads
- Storage: At least 64 GB of free space
- Virtualization: KVM enabled in BIOS/UEFI
- Support: macOS 11 (Big Sur) to macOS 15 (Sequoia)

Is this like Winboat?
No, there is no native integration yet. For now, it's just macOS with its full desktop.
Can I run Mac apps?
Yes, you can install and run macOS applications within the virtualized environment.
Can I use shared directories?
Yes, although we are still perfecting that feature and it may not work perfectly yet.
It doesn't install, I get an error
If you experience issues during installation, we recommend trying an older macOS versions.
